Job Description:

Financial Aid Program Management: Plan, develop, and implement student financial aid programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.

Exceptional Customer Service: Deliver outstanding financial aid counseling and support to students and their families, guiding them through the financial aid process.

Interdepartmental Collaboration: Coordinate with departments such as Admissions, Residence Life, and Athletics to streamline processes and support student success.

Award Management: Execute financial aid awarding and packaging policies, maximizing the utilization of funds to meet enrollment goals.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with federal and state financial aid regulations, ensuring compliance and accurate administration of aid programs.

Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience
Five years of financial aid leadership experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
The person in this position will possess the knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to the delivery of financial aid funds for higher education, have experience with technological resources including a wide variety of software programs and applications including but not restricted to university ERP systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases, and have knowledge of federal tax forms and financial aid application forms.
They will be skilled in math and accounting procedures to reconcile student and financial aid fund accounts and be skilled and have experience in customer services to provide excellent customer care. They will have the ability to communicate in verbal and written form to ensure shared understanding of information, ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines and the ability to navigate sensitive financial & personal situations of students/ parents.
Physical Demand
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time indoors. Exposure to repetitive motion of the fingers, hands, and wrists daily. Use of a PC and telephone, photocopier, and facsimile machine approximately 95% of the workday. Position requires the ability to occasionally lift ten pounds.
