Assistant Director of Financial Aid
Albright College, a liberal arts college in Reading, PA, is seeking an Assistant Financial Aid Director in the operations of the Financial Aid Office. This person will provide professional service to students to promote their understanding and access to financial aid opportunities. This position serves as the College’s Veterans Administration certifying official, State Grant official and coordinator of the School of Professional Studies and Graduate aid programs.
Essential Job Functions:
1.Manage Pennsylvania State Grants, Other State Grants, and PA Special Programs, including state grant roster management and roster reconciliation.
2.Manage the federal verification of FAFSA/ISIR data, and packaging of the SPS and Graduate Programs.
3.Manage the processing of aid for the Study Abroad Programs
4.VA certifying official
5.Counsels students and families regarding the financial aid application process, aid eligibility, and financial aid award letter specifics.
6.Communicates and corresponds with families in response to email and telephone requests for information regarding financial aid and enrollment.
7.Manage the updates to the Net Price Calculator
8.Provides effective presentations to on and off campus audiences.
9.Assist with audit preparation and resolutions.
10.Assist with monthly fund reconciliations as needed.
11.Others duties as assigned by the Director of Financial Aid

1.COMMUNICATION a.Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. 2.SKILLS a.Ability to work across college departmental/divisional lines. b.Working knowledge of aid management systems - PowerFAIDS preferred. c.Working knowledge of admission CRM systems - SLATE preferred. d.Working knowledge of PHEAA State Grant system e.Well-developed financial aid problem solving skill set f.Working knowledge of admission recruiting in a tuition-driven enrollment environment. g.Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment 3.EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE a.At least three to five years of related experience in a college or university financial aid office b.Working knowledge of all Title IV and state aid program regulations. c.Experience in financial aid counseling and enrollment management strategic planning. 4.EDUCATION a.Bachelor’s degree required
