Financial Aid Counselor
The Financial Aid Counselor provides students and their families with financial aid-related services through activities including, but not limited to, giving presentations, counseling students about the financial aid process, awarding various aid programs, and educating students about the importance of good financial management. These initiatives will contribute to safeguarding the University in the area of compliance with financial aid related regulations. The Financial Aid Counselor analyzes applicant financial aid information, selects candidates, and determines awarded financial aid. They will also assist in financial aid policy preparation and in applications for government loan program federal funds. The Financial Aid Counselor will conduct applicant interviews and administers assigned financial aid programs.
University of Pittsburgh
Bachelor's Degree with 2 years experience. The following PA Act 153 clearances and background checks are required prior to commencement of employment and as a condition of continued employment: PA State Police Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal Record Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance.
