Associate Director of Financial Aid
The Associate Director of Financial Aid is a lead position in IUP’s Office of Financial Aid, and under the supervision of the Director of Financial Aid, helps to ensure IUP’s compliance with federal, state, and institutional financial aid rules, regulations, and guidelines for administering financial aid programs. This position is directly responsible for the administration and oversight of the PA State Grant Program, non-Pennsylvania state grant/scholarship programs, the Federal Direct PLUS Loan Program, and PHEAA-administered special programs including PA Partnerships for Access to Higher Education (PATH), PA Postsecondary Educational Gratuity Program (PEGP), PA National Guard Educational Assistance Program (EAP), National Guard Military Family Education Program (MFEP), and Ready to Succeed Scholarship (RTSS).
The Associate Director will be responsible for providing project management direction on current and new initiatives within the Financial Aid Office and will serve as the primary liaison between the university and external entities to oversee financial aid integrations, including Ellucian Student Financial Success (formerly CampusLogic), ELMOne, and NextGen, and serve as a key member in the PASSHE OneSIS implementation for Banner Financial Aid.
The Associate Director must bring a student-centered approach to their work and have exceptional customer service/student success and communication skills, as this position regularly works with students, families, and units across campus to problem solve, build relationships, and identify efficiencies for administering financial aid. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate strong technical, organizational, communication, and time management skills and must be able to excel whether working independently or on a team.
This position is a member of the SCUPA Collective Bargaining Unit as a SUA-3. Annual starting salary is $58,973. A hybrid work schedule is available.

Minimum Requirements: -Bachelor's Degree -Three years experience in the administration of financial aid programs -Experience in Banner Financial Aid, Ellucian Student Financial Success (formerly CampusLogic), PHEAA Partner Interface/ALEC, and Federal Student Aid systems -Preference given to candidates with project management experience, and experience in reading/writing population selections and SQL.
