Job Description:

-Oversee and coordinate all Student Employment for the College. Train supervisors, inform students, Collaborate with Career Services and Payroll.
-Serve as College’s main Verification official. Responsible for updating an implementing all changes to verification procedures.
-Oversee all Veteran’s Affairs, military tuition assistance programs, including ROTC and Yellow Ribbon, ensuring compliance with regulations and reports’ on-time delivery.
-Serve as the Colleges VA certifying official and central point of contact for service members and dependents regarding TA or other military benefits.
-Responsible for administration of all subsidiary state grants and other special programs.
-Assist the Director with ensuring compliance with all regulations regarding federal and state financial aid programs.
-Supervise front desk staff and student workers to provide quality customer service to the student population and ensure that accurate information is provided, and a professional atmosphere is maintained at all times.
-Possess the ability to respond directly to sensitive situations.
-Serve as a contact for students and families regarding the financial aid process. Conduct counseling sessions with families to assist with
-Assist in financial aid processing, including awarding and appeal process, etc.
-Represent the Office of Financial Aid at various events organized by the College and local and state organizations, providing a presentation when requested.
-Represent the Office of Financial Aid on various College committees, etc., in the Director’s absence.
-Additional job-related duties as required by Director.

Qualification:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Two years of experience working in a financial aid office during which in-depth knowledge of financial aid policies and procedures has been attained. Experience with financial aid software system Colleague will be strongly considered. Ability to work independently, problem-solve, think proactively, and make decisions in the Director's absence. High level of organizational skills; ability to work accurately. Excellent communication skills required; ability to effectively speak in front of both small and large audiences. Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel.
